I think it was only acting hostile because they could smell that someone had died.

I'm rather fond of cats, but if it was going to continue attacking others, it would have been dangerous.

Several people still have the cats from the second time with the house, and C and Rye both kept dogs from this one...

They never seem like they're in poor health, at least.
